How to open pdfs by default within a new emacs window instead of opening with Preview?

I am using org mode to export a latex document to pdf and open it immediately. When I do this the pdf opens in Preview (I'm using a mac) instead of in emacs in a new window. How can I change this?

This works for me: (push '("\\.pdf\\'" . emacs) org-file-apps)
