org-roam: Does not insert newline below title section

pragmat1c1 · 2022-06-13 09:59
Started using `org-roam`, and I'm loving it. Here's one thing I cannot seem to change: I would love to have a newline below title section and first journal entry, but no matter what I do, it won't work. Here's my `org-roam-dailies-capture-templates` (setq org-roam-dailies-capture-templates '(("d" "default" entry "\n* %<%H:%M> %?\n:properties:\n:created: %U\n:end:\n" :target (file+head "%<%Y-%m-%d>.org" "#+title: %u\n#+startup: content\n\n") :unnarrowed t))) As you can see, I have inserted two newlines to finish the `file+head` string: "%<%Y-%m-%d>.org" "#+title: %u\n#+startup: content\n\n" But every time I create a first entry for the day, it won't have a newline below title section and it looks crammed like this: :PROPERTIES: :ID: 2022-06-13T115442.743517 :END: #+title: [2022-06-13 Mon] #+startup: content <--- No newline below this!? * 11:54 Test :properties: :created: [2022-06-13 Mon 11:54] :end: * 11:54 Test :properties: :created: [2022-06-13 Mon 11:54] :end: How can I make org-roam insert the desired amount of newlines after title section?

Have you tried the :empty-lines-before property?
pragmat1c1 · 2022-06-13 10:10
> :empty-lines-before Man, I should be paying you via Patreon or something :D That worked like a charm! I put this here (setq org-roam-dailies-capture-templates '(("d" "default" entry "\n* %<%H:%M> %?\n:properties:\n:created: %U\n:end:\n" :target (file+head "%<%Y-%m-%d>.org" "#+title: %u\n#+startup: content\n\n") :unnarrowed t :empty-lines 2 ))) And now I have 2 empty lines after the title section.

This has been removed, as it is not very civil; please attack ideas, not people.

Isn't it also add empty lines before each headline?
pragmat1c1 · 2022-06-29 09:33
Yeah, it is. So I reverted back to 1.
