Hi.
Started running 28.1 on Centos 7.9.2009. Whenever I start it, I get these errors at the beginning of my \*Messages\* buffer:
Eager macro-expansion-failure: (wrong-number-of-arguments (3 . 4) 2) \[2 times\]
Error loading autoloads: (wrong-number-of-arguments (3 . 4) 2)
Loading ....emacs.d/myinit.el (source)...
I'm not a programmer and can only do some light emacs-lisp code but I read about this and think I understand but don't know what file it's coming from! How do I trace the source of this and fix it?
Thanks!

Add:
(setq debug-on-error t)
to the start of `myinit.el`; that should hopefully give you some more information.

Unfortunately, that made zero difference. I tried commenting out my entire init.el but still had the errors. But, if I run emacs -Q (or -q), it’s fine. I looked through the directories in load-path and didn’t see a default.el or site-start.el.
I’m just guessing, but is it something to do with the native compile in 28.1?

Do you have a compiled (.elc) version of your init file? It could prevent the changes to your init.el from being picked up.

No. I don’t see any compiled files in my .emacs.d directory and changes to init.el were seen when starting emacs.
emacs -debug-init didn’t show anything. Is there some more extensive debugging/tracing I can turn on?

Somehow, I appear to have found it by starting with -q and then evaluating my init file. Was something in the package ignoramus.
Thanks for the help.
