I'm loving emacs ecosystem more and more...
onetom · 2022-06-02 08:15
what's that theme and mode-line?
divinedominion · 2022-06-02 08:17
Colors look like Solarized
onetom · 2022-06-02 08:21
I use solarized (4lex4 version) in IntelliJ and the official in Terminal.app and iTerm2 but this screenshot didn't feel like Solarized. especially that blue mode-line; that's why I was asking. coz it looks quite pleasant.
I'm using the light Modus theme in Emacs because of its extreme consistency across the package ecosystem and its customisability and extensive docs, but it feels a bit boring with all that plain white background... and I couldn't figure out how to customize the background of the Modus theme well.
divinedominion · 2022-06-02 08:30
💯 agree -- am in team `modus-themes`, too, and also feeling the boringness :)
I do consider checking out "engraved themes" to get Solarized Light for source blocks in my org documents at least. (See: https://blog.tecosaur.com/tmio/2022-05-31-folding.html)
The modeline looks like a custom color, totally. Tried to match against https://ethanschoonover.com/solarized/ -- Overall the theme looks a bit like a slightly desaturared/lightened version of Solarized tbh.
But the various font colors look very much like Solarized as a base?

thanks for looking into it!
that's what I'm used to seeing in IntelliJ, within the Cursive REPL output tool window and not find so boring:
https://twitter.com/onetom/status/1522510315086557184?s=21&t=SpiU_9OKhglQaTSKAv_01w
it's a slightly customized output from the Clojure puget pretty printer, just to make it readable on the solarized-light background.
the actual code has less bold and less intense colors :)

the theme is [moe, moe ,kyun!](https://github.com/kuanyui/moe-theme.el) and the mode-line is [doom-modeline](https://github.com/seagle0128/doom-modeline)

Is there something like this available for org itself? I.e so that datetimes past midnight would show on the previous day in agenda view.
HeiWiper · 2022-06-02 13:44
This isn't an `org-journal` variable, it's an `org` variable but it's apparently limited as mentioned in the documentation. So I don't know if you can achieve what you want, maybe try and see if it work.
markusl2ll · 2022-06-02 14:00
Ah -- right. Was trying to look it up from help, but searched the function section. Thanks!
Tested this, and yes, as described, when creating a date it does default to yesterday when I'm past midnight but before the hour in the variable. But in \`org-agenda-list\` it's still on the following day.
