nyan-mode images does not appear on my emacs

I am using emacs under ubuntu 20.04 and installed nyan-mode with melpa to emacs. it is working but nyan cat is not appearing. emacs version is 26.3. Any suggestion? Check your support for displaying XPM images in Emacs. i am on linux and that function is not available in my emacs. i tried with xmp.so file but nothing changed.i am on terminal by the way.

It should work for TUI as well. *EDIT*: I mean, on TUI `nyan-mode` uses ascii art.

Just in case... Did you actually enable `nyan-mode` after installing the package?

Yeah i did. Its starting but just in text mode. Images not appearing.

I dont have image.el file. Actually after installing emacs my .emacs.d folder was empty. But i will find it and try this func.

You can not have images in terminal mode o think

I guess you don't have an nyan-mode issue, you do have a graphics issue in general. But I'm not an expert here.

it returns "nil" in my emacs.
