Why is Pyls deprecated? What alternative is recommended now?

The LSP website page for Pyls here - https://emacs-lsp.github.io/lsp-mode/page/lsp-pyls/ - shows "Python (deprecated Palantir version)". I was using Pyls for a long time and so surprised to see it deprecated today. I don't see anything about deprecation in their GitHub Repo here - https://github.com/palantir/python-language-server Why is it deprecated on the lsp-mode website? What alternative is recommended?

Palantir server has no commit for 1.5 years now. It is forked into https://github.com/python-lsp/python-lsp-server and maintained by spyder ide team.

Some more details in [issue #935](https://github.com/palantir/python-language-server/issues/935). The "new" language server corresponds to the [`Python (Pylsp)` page in the LSP Mode docs](https://emacs-lsp.github.io/lsp-mode/page/lsp-pylsp/).

I've found `pyright` much better anyway. Finally get reports for un-`await`ed coroutines. I can't remember what else improved, but I remember thinking it a good upgrade.
