I used to know this key binding, but I forgot it. I recently started using evil mode, not sure if that matters.

I'm not talking about C-x b, I don't want the current buffer to change, I want to move the cursor.
Thanks.

I use doom and just have it set to SPC-<# of buffer>, and there's also C-w C-w which brings up avy to type in a letter. I rarely have too many buffers, and it gets crazy sometimes when you have frames since each frame just adds one to the last buffer number as the first.

Try the [ace-window](https://github.com/abo-abo/ace-window) package. I think you're referring to `C-x o` which is bound to `other-window`.

Moving horizontally with f, F, t and T,
For bigger cortical jumps there is evil-snipe.
Then there is CTRL+u / d for going up down half a page

That's it, thank you!

windmove functions are built-in and great, I can't live without them. C-x o will strain your fingers

Evil also uses the window movement commands from vim: `C-w r` rotates the windows, `C-w j` and it’s hjkl counterparts will move the cursor to the windows on the left, right, up and down sides. I would add that `C-w C-r` rotation is better in Evil than in Vim, IMO.

They aren't that bad with repeat-mode turned on.

Yah know... Emacs has a built in tutorial.

There is a package called ace-jump-mode. Like ace-window but you can navigate to any char. I like it!
