Having moved from i3wm to Swaywm with Emacs 29, I am unable to use the super key (windows). Does anyone know to fix this, on i3 this was no problem.

very interested in this topic as well.
if anyone has any tips on getting the hyper, alt, and super modifier keys to work in wayland, I would be happy to hear them. I'm using them on MacOS without a problem, and I don't want to lose them for when I eventually migrate (if I do migrate).

That sounds a like a Wayland configuration problem.
The most challenging shortcut problem I encountered is to get key combinations working in terminals under different terminal emulators.

I use Super as sway mod key. Which mod key are you using?

Thanks for this GTK bug reference, devs are aware, but unclear on its resolution; via GTK or temp workaround in Emacs.

\> I use Super as sway mod key.
.... this works for me and I'm pretty sure it's the 'normal' 'default' 'standard' way of doing it in sway as well as in i3.

Indeed I also use Super.
