How to find what is causing `Invalid face attribute` message?

Is there a way to find what is flooding my messages buffer with the error below? Invalid face attribute :background nil Invalid face attribute :foreground nil `emacs -Q` or `toggle-debug-on-error` does not trigger any errors. All I see are these messages in *Messages* buffer. The "error" I think occurs when I go to end of the buffer and open a new line or setting a mark. How do I find the culprit here?

Yes I do, and I am using modus-theme too.
