mu4e on OSX

I was happily using mu4e in Doom Emacs. But I upgraded the OS from Catalina to Monterey. And now when I run mu4e, I get: error in process filter: mu4e-error-handler: Error 111: failed to open store @ /Users/bob/.cache/mu/xapian: EOF reading block 15320 Ideas/suggestions?

Never had any such issue, I assume that if nothing else helps, re-indexing your e-mail should give you a clean xapian DB again (since that seems to be where there is a problem).

Did you try to init the store again and reindex the messages?

I re-indexed and that indeed got me past the db. I use gmail. The inbox showing in mu4e shows the latest message to be from 5/3. Looking at gmail in a browser, there are emails that are newer. Since I re-inited and re-indexed, the db should be good. Why isn't it showing the 6 new emails that the browser is showing?

Well, mu4e doesn't download your email, only index and search it when it's on your computer. Check if your imap downloader works or even installed.

That would be mbsync. I ran that from the command line, re-indexed again, and now mu4e Inbox shows the same as gmail in the browser. Thanks everyone.
