I'm looking for a package that can do live filtering on a json string (e.g. using jq) but I don't want package lock-in like with counsel-jq. I thought it'd be a popular enough thing to already be a package but I couldn't find one.
I also see json-navigator on melpa, but that doesn't have filtering afaict.

Just this week I installed jq-mode to use with the excellent restcliient. I’d recommend both.

Ah I missed jq-interactively, jq-mode and it's preface made me think it was for editing jq scripts only
