In the Magit branch options, there is `Checkout` and `Create` for branches and `spin-off` and `spin-out`.
What is the difference between them? I understand checking out a new branch as making a copy of the current branch and working on it.
But when you create a new branch or a `spin-out` are you creating a branch linked to nothing at all, like a branch empty of any code at all?

Checkout - current commit on current branch
Create branch - specify commit/branch
Spin-off - create new branch off current commit and reset old branch to upstream
Spin-out - create a new branch off current commit but doesn't reset old branch
This might be useful:

Meta comment: tomratboy writes an essentially perfect reply to a request for help. It's a model to follow: answers the questions precisely and concisely, and concludes with a link to the relevant doc.

One is the first boss of Stormhill castle, the other is a boss in Leyndell.
