I set up Emacs to develop in Kotlin. So far everything is working fairly well using lsp-mode, kotlin-mode, etc.
However, the biggest missing piece is the repo I'm working on has an XML file which defines code formatting styles for IntelliJ.
Is there any way to get Emacs to look at those for formatting? I was able to do that on previous projects with Prettier for JS, but I couldn't find anything for IntelliJ code style files.

This is emacs version of that https://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/manual/html_node/emacs/Directory-Variables.html

That's not what I'm looking for. I want to work on IntelliJ projects and have their XML code style files applied to my code.

editorconfig

Info:
"EditorConfig helps maintain consistent coding styles for multiple developers working on the same project across various editors and IDEs."
I haven't tried the Emacs mode (i.e. plugin) but I'd say this sounds like the best solution. Shouldn't be too hard to port the XML file.

That isn't the same config file / format as the IntelliJ code style file, is it?

Emacs uses a different method, so it cannot use Intellij XML files directly, so there has to be some conversion from that XML format to emacs config.
