I'm a new emacs user and working on setting up my environment. I have magit setup and working. I want to add Forge but I'm running into a few issues.
When I try to just do a package install of forge I get the following output:
package-install-from-archive: [https://melpa.org/packages/ghub-20220403.1248.tar:](https://melpa.org/packages/ghub-20220403.1248.tar:) Not found and when i use M-x forge there is nothing found.
I get the same issue if i try to do a package install on ghub itself.
However when I go to [melpa.org](https://melpa.org) and search ghub This link comes up: [https://melpa.org/#/ghub](https://melpa.org/#/ghub) and the download link is [https://melpa.org/packages/ghub-20220424.947.tar](https://melpa.org/packages/ghub-20220424.947.tar)
Cool it exists. What i'm not sure of how to do is make the emacs package installer reconcile this link difference so that i can run package-install on forge.

Forge is avaiable on MELPA, so you should be able to install by just typing "M-x package-install<RET>forge"
Do you have MELPA configured as one of your package archives? If not you can add it by adding the following to you init.el file:
(require 'package)
(setq package-archives '(("gnu" . "http://elpa.gnu.org/packages/")
("melpa" . "http://melpa.org/packages/")))

Yes. I have melpa, elpa and org archives set and set to refresh
(setq package-archives '(("melpa" . "https://melpa.org/packages/")
("org" . "https://orgmode.org/elpa/")
("elpa" . "https://elpa.gnu.org/packages/")))
(package-initialize)
(unless package-archive-contents
(package-refresh-contents))
(unless (package-installed-p 'use-package)
(package-install 'use-package))
Still get this error on load up:
Error (use-package): Failed to install forge: https://melpa.org/packages/ghub-20220403.1248.tar: Not found
Error (use-package): Cannot load forge Error (use-package): Failed to install lsp-mode: https://melpa.org/packages/lsp-mode-20220419.602.tar: Not found

Do an explicit `package-refresh-contents`. Your refresh step only runs if there is not a cache already. In yr case, the cache is present but out-of-date.

Sounds good. I'll check on this when I get home. Thank you!
