Hi everyone,
in [LaTeX](https://www.latex-project.org/) and for long files, I use [C-c =](https://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/manual/html_node/reftex/Table-of-Contents.html) to open the table of contents and select the section I want to go to. I'm looking for a similar option in org files but somehow always end up on automatic TOC generation tools... Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you a lot!

Like `imenu`?

In addition to imenu, there is also `org-goto`

That's exactly what I was looking for, thanks!

Thank you! This looks good as it shows the headers in their current form contrary to `imenu`, but I have flycheck running on my whole file on `org-goto` which is annoying and slow... Would you know how to prevent flycheck only when that function is run? Thank you a lot!

Its hard to say. I do not even know the checkers you have enabled. Generally, try to upgrade Org to latest development version if you experience major performance issues. There are 10x performance improvements in some areas.
