most likely you are right, I searched a lot event in google images and failed to find one, probably that one is somebody's private variation of some theme which was never published.

gnuvince · 2022-04-24 21:22
Let us know if you find out, it's a nice light theme!

Unsure of the theme but the funky tags and font are the weirder ligatures in PragmataPro by https://fsd.it

Looks like it's similar to this: [https://github.com/lumiknit/vscode-parchment-theme](https://github.com/lumiknit/vscode-parchment-theme)
Fabrizio Schiavi (designer of Pragmata Pro) has a fork on his Github: [https://github.com/fabrizioschiavi/vscode-parchment-theme](https://github.com/fabrizioschiavi/vscode-parchment-theme)
There is also an emacs version, which says its based on the snippet from Pragmata Pro: [https://github.com/lumiknit/emacs-parchment-theme](https://github.com/lumiknit/emacs-parchment-theme)
So my best guess is the small snippet was hand designed by the designer of the font, then a user created themes based on it, which the designer of the font uses himself?

What's with all those crazy symbols? Is that some logic proof assist or something?
giant3 · 2022-04-25 02:08
Those are ligatures for symbols used in Haskell.

I have a question for people who use ligature fonts.
Do characters suddenly appear - like if you deleted the "=" from "!=" - would the underlying "!" appear?
Do you have to fight trying to maintain alignment when some lines have ligatures and other don't? Like the alignment of the "|" in OP's screenshot:
| c v = x v
| otherwise = y v
I'd like to use a font with ligatures because they honestly look beautiful, but in the days before fonts with ligatures became common - when we had unicode character replacement for string/regex - I found it quite tiresome and the editing experience quite jarring

Looks like McCarthy to me https://github.com/owainlewis/emacs-color-themes
regr4 · 2022-04-25 09:05
The image is from [emacs-pragmatapro-ligatures](https://github.com/lumiknit/emacs-pragmatapro-ligatures) which is also by lumiknit, so I'd say emacs-parchment is the most likely answer.
emmmmellll · 2022-04-25 09:20
what you’re suggesting is correct — if you have a ligature for != and delete the last character you just get !
re alignment — never really was a problem … it always just worked for me
art-solopov · 2022-04-25 09:36
I use ligatures font in my terminal, and yes, if you delete part of the ligature, it "disassembles" into its original components.
In general I don't have any problems with width because the ligatures occupy roughly the same amount of space as its components (for example, `==` is replaced with a long equals sign, `===` is replaced with a *really* long triple equals sign, etc).
art-solopov · 2022-04-25 09:38
Does Emacs support them finally? A couple years ago I remember reading about ligatures support and how much of a PITA it was.
bhrgunatha · 2022-04-25 09:47
Thanks. You and u/art-solopov have re-assured me to try using some ligature font.
Looks like [ligature.el supports fine-tuning](https://github.com/mickeynp/ligature.el) substitutions and modes, so best of both worlds.
Km45njzr · 2022-04-25 13:20
How to enable ligatures in emacs?
IterativeSieve · 2022-04-25 13:29
Version 28 finally includes a necessary patch that has freed up ligatures. [ligature.el](https://github.com/mickeynp/ligature.el) seems to be the winning implementation.
