In EXWM, one can enable a system tray by requiring `exwm-systemtray` and issuing `exwm-systemtray-enable`. This, however, by default puts the tray icons into the *echo area*, of all places. Since all my other system information is in the mode line, I would much prefer them to go there.
Does anyone know of a way to do this? The exwm documentation is very quiet on this front.
Alternatively, is there another community where I could find exwm wizards to help me out?

Edit: I just had a look at the exwm source code, and it turns out the system tray is actually a window that just happens to be pinned to the lower right of the screen. That probably rules out any simple way of achieving this.
