Reducing "intensity" of display-line-numbers-mode

I am currently investigating a way to configure how `display-line-numbers-mode` "stands out". Either by intensifying line numbers or make them less outstanding. But I would like to contrast them in respect to main text. I use the `deeper-blue` theme, but haven't otherwise changed any defaults settings of themes or faces. I would like to specify that the * background-color of `line-number` should be "more intense than the current background"; and/or * the foreground-color should be "less intense than the current default foreground color". So changing it like it is possible with `highlight-indent-guides` where I can give a percentage of how the face should vary in respect to 'normal'. Is this possible?

I faced this issue with doom themes, I just moved to a high contrast theme, but I think you can change the color manually, use describe face and then search for line, you may find something.

I came up with the following solution which works nicely even after theme changes: ```lisp (add-hook 'display-line-numbers-mode-hook (lambda () (face-remap-add-relative 'line-number 'font-lock-comment-face))) ```
