Keybindings on MacOS ... something strange going on

Presumably your key bindings are in your init file. Could you post them please?

Hi, thanks for your response. In my init I have: (global-set-key \[C-f12\] 'save-buffers-kill-terminal) this doesnt work. but it works with 'fundamental-mode. But I just found out it depends where in the init file this line is, when its at the end it also doesnt work with 'fundamental-mode. But I get no errors, nothing.

Sounds like you have at least one bug in your init file. Put lots of `(message "1")`, `(message "2")` statements in it and see where they stop.

I'm no coder (I use emacs solely to write prose) so I don't exaxtly know how I could do this. But I think I will rebuild the init piece for piece ... this should also work to find the problem. Thanks anyway, I didn't know that there could be bugs like this in init (very strange). Thank you!
