Scroll past the end as in Sublime Text

I noticed this feature in Sublime Text, notably, "scroll past the end". See at 2:50 below: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPC6keUUiTA&list=WL](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPC6keUUiTA&list=WL) Does Emacs have a similar feature? I know one can use C-l to lift the last line to the top of the visible buffer .

A package that does exactly this was released sometime within the last four months. I'm sorry I can't remember what it's called or exactly when. If you go back through Sacha's weekly digests you'll find it in the "new packages" section at the end. https://sachachua.com/blog/category/emacs-news/

I am not sure if I understand correctly, there are about three behaviours in the video. \- using the mouse to scroll you can scroll all the way until there's just the last line being displayed on the top. \- C-l C-l scrolls the current line all the way to the top. \- There is also an "next-line-add-newlines" variable that lets you insert new lines with C-n at the end of the buffer.

Overscroll and underscrolling is possible. - topspace.el enables scrolling 1st line to e.g. center of screen https://github.com/trevorpogue/topspace - centered-cursor-mode.el can also keep the line in vertical center https://github.com/emacsmirror/centered-cursor-mode Scrolling past the end at the bottom Just Works™️ with `emacs -q` on my machine (macOS, which might have some different defaults)

So sorry to waste your time. Wish I could remember it.
