[Wanderlust] (Visually) Kill unmarked messages

fela_nascarfan · 2022-04-12 08:12
Dear Emacs-fellas, I am using Wanderlust for emails. I can't find out, how to: - in Summary mode (buffer) I have some marked messages (with *), as a result of searching or manual selection, - those marked messages are not on the same page, so I need to scroll the buffer to see them, - so is there any way how to kill (suppress) the unmarked messages, so there are not displayed (but off course, they will not be deleted)? I've read the manual, but I can't find thre relevant answer. Thanks in advance.

In `Folder mode` you can type `V` to start `wl-folder-virtual` and type your search which will be executed on the folder under cursor. Then, the results are shown in `Summary mode` of a virtual (temporary) folder. Perhaps it is possible to adapt the code to create a virtual folder from marked messages in a buffer.

Thanks a lot, this helps. So far I was using *wl-fldmgr-make-filter*, which was similar, but creates also one more unneeded folder, which I was deleting all the time.
