How to make an org attachment from an email attachment

Hello, I'm using mu4e and on my email inbox, I frequently get documents that I would like to save as reference in org mode. This process is realy tedious as for now: choose a location, save attachement there, link it in the org file. I could also org-store-link on the email header and then just make the link in the org file, but if I delete this email, I can't get my reference back. I'd love a function that can create an orgattachment from an email attachment. Does this already exist ? Do you have other strategies to manage this workflow ? ​ Cheers,

Why would you need to delete emails? They don't really take much space compared to many other things. As for creating attachments, it is certainly possible, but you need to implement it. E.g. you can create a capture template that will start in mu4e buffer, retrieve the attachment list, and attach the email attachments to org node upon capture.
