So you can see that vim has slightly offset the number of current line to the left to make it more easily to read, any way to do this in emacs?

Never done that but from https://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/manual/html_node/emacs/Display-Custom.html :
_The current line number is displayed in a different face, line-number-current-line, so you can make the current line’s number have a distinct appearance, which will help locating the line showing point._

pacman -R emacs; pacman -S gvim; echo “alias emacs=vim” >> ~/.bashrc

Between the highlight color and the highlighted line I think it's easy enough to spot. Have you tried Sylvain's suggestion?

`M-x customize-face` then select `line-number-current-line` . If you click on 'Show all attributes', you can see all your possible styling options.

Please can you detail your solution as a follow-up? I might be interested. Thanks

I didn't find a option to offset it, but I changed the color of it and use a box to make it more obvious
