Issues with Twilight-bright theme in the terminal

I've been using Spacemacs with the Twilight-bright theme, as I like how it uses the background colour in highlights. When I run Emacs directly via X, everything works fine but, when I try to use it on a terminal, in some cases the minibuffer text shows the same colour as the background (white), so I can't see anything. One of the examples is trying to open a file in a project with C-x C-f, the minibuffer seems to show the same as the selection in Helm (judging on how the cursor shows at the same location as in the Helm window and it changes when I move up and down) but I can't see what's there. It seems to work fine for things like showing me function details from LSP. I've looked at the twilight-bright.el and I've not found anything. Note: I've been doing some more testing and it looks like the issue is not only related to twilight-bright, but it seems to be related to spacemacs itself. The issue happens both, on terminals with white on black and black on white. Anybody got any ideas on how to fix this issue or other themes to try?

Note: It seems like the issue is related to Spacemacs, as it appears to affect all the themes.

Themes developed for GUI emacs don't necessarily work for TUI emacs. I've found the modus, sanityinc, and kaolin themes work well in both using Spacemacs. Perhaps you can find a light and dark theme among them?

More updates: It looks like helm in Spacemacs kind of disables the mini buffer when it's searching, so the text shows at the top of the window. On the terminal, the minibuffer is still there and I can see a second cursor, at the same indentation, which makes it very confusing. The functionality is exactly the same, it's something just visual.

Thanks, I will try them!

Search for how to enable true color support in you terminal.
