Has anyone succeeded in getting lsp-mode for python over tramp going? I have troubles getting pyls working over tramp and opened an issue against lsp-mode ([https://github.com/emacs-lsp/lsp-mode/issues/3391](https://github.com/emacs-lsp/lsp-mode/issues/3391)) which hasn't received any feedback yet.
So, my specific questions are:
1. Could someone share their working setup for pyls over tramp?
2. Could someone share their working setup for some other lsp-server working with lsp-mode over tramp?

I ended up getting pyright o work over tramp with lsp-mode by copying pyright-lsp’s tramp backend definition and adding a `:remote t` to the form. However, right after that adventure, I switched to eglot and am much happier - operation over tramp there (and in other languages) works out of the box, with no customization required. Might be worth a shot if you need tramp to work.

Thank you very much for both points. The second is a strong point towards eglot for me!

Do you use a virtualenv on the remote machine? How did you set up your emacs to use it? Also, do you have a working debugger?
