Why some manpages are missing from `Man`?

**What I'm using**: - GNU Emacs 27.2 - Manjaro Linux 21.2.5 (codename: Qonos) - Doom core v3.0.0-dev - Doom modules v22.03.0-dev - Ivy Version: 0.13.4 **Issue***: Some manpages do not show up when I run `M-x man`. Apparently, this only happens with non-default packages which I installed manual with `pacman`, probably with whatever I install from the `aur` as well, but I didn't test it. For example, on the command line,`$ man yt-dlp` shows me the correct manpage, while on Emacs `M-x man` followed by `yt-dlp` does not list its corresponding manpage. `$ whereis yt-dlp` show that `yt-dlp` manpage is at the correct location: `yt-dlp: /usr/bin/yt-dlp /usr/share/man/man1/yt-dlp.1.gz`. The issue occurs with `ivy-mode` disabled as well. *Posting here first instead of /r/doom because I figure this might be a system vs Emacs thing, and not a Doom thing...*

`/usr/share/man` is awfully standard, so it sounds odd. Any difference between shell `echo $MANPATH` and emacs `M-x getenv RET MANPATH` ?

Thanks. `$ echo $MANPATH` (on a non-Emacs shell) is empty. `M-x getenv RET MANPATH` doesn't list `MANPATH`.

Does apropos(1) report yt-dlp when you try it? If not, then you have to update it.

Sounds like it's unset everywhere then, so that shouldn't be the reason for the difference you're seeing.

Thanks. That seems to work. Can I automate this?
