Why does treemacs always open on the same directory? How can I make it open on the current working directory (as neotree does)?

Have you tried to activate `treemacs-follow-mode`? Sounds like it should do what you are looking for, more info on how to customize it can be found in the [package documentation](https://github.com/Alexander-Miller/treemacs#follow-mode).

treemacs works with its own notion of projects and workspaces. If you want it to follow your default directory, you might want to add `~/` as your treemacs project and enable treemacs follow mode. But in the end treemacs just has a different style of workflow compared to neotree

No, it didn't work. But thanks.
