Need help setting up formats/filter-groups on directory path

Hi. Very long-time emacs user but not a programmer (ASIC engineer - mostly working with SystemVerilog, Python, BASH, and TCL) so I can only go so far with emacs-lisp. Running 27.2 and I use ibuffer with ibuffer-formats and ibuffer-saved-filter-groups to organize all my types of files and directories I'm working on. I want a column that contains the directory paths to the buffers' files. I want this so I can display it with ibuffer-formats and filter on it in ibuffer-saved-filter-groups to keep track of files with the same name but for different projects. I've defined a couple of simple columns but can't figure out how to do this for path. I looked at the standard ones in ibuffer.el like filename but the code is a bit beyond my pay grade. I'd really appreciate any help or pointers for this. Some day I'll have time to become an emacs-lisp guru, but that time, unfortunately, is not now. Thanks!

FYI, I’m just starting to read about projects and projectile. I never looked into them since they seem very tied into git/magit which I don’t use as my version control system.
