I will like to increase the size of my previously opened buffers to more than 100. I was not able to find a way to do it. Thank you very much for your help!

The buffers all go to a hundred. Look, right across the board, a hundred, a hundred, a hundred and… Oh, I see. And most buffers go up to ninety? Exactly. Does that mean it’s larger? Is it any larger? Well, it’s ten larger, isn’t it? It’s not ninety. You see, most blokes, you know, will be editing at ninety. You’re on ninety here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you’re on ninety on all your previously opened buffers. Where can you go from there? Where? I don’t know. Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do? Put it up to a hundred. A Hundred. Exactly. Ten larger. Why don’t you just make ninety larger and make ninety be the top number and make that a little larger? (pause) These go to a hundred.

You should probably reword your post, because probably none here understands what you want. It is hard to help you if people don't understand what you are asking for. What is 100 in your case? Do you want 100 buffers? Or do you want some buffer to increase in size with 100 characters, or what exactly do you mean?

"The suspend, listen to it." "I don't hear anything." "Well you would though, if there were jobs".

i think OP talks about the recentf-mode history size, which is probably controlled by the savehist-mode customizations https://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/SaveHist ? I think David SystemCrafter Wilson covers it in this video: https://youtu.be/51eSeqcaikM

is this a riff on some Monty Python sketch?

It's a riff on the Spinal Tap "these amps go to 11" scene
