Slider to increase/decrease values.

I'm day-trading equities through Emacs on the left side of the screen and Thinkorswim on the right side of the screen. Orders are managed (buy / sell / replace / cancel) with Emacs. When there are a few seconds to spare, I navigate in Emacs to the order replace template (widget) and type in the new value to replace an existing order; e.g., `15.00` and `C-u C-c C-c` to send. [Absent a universal argument is used when I want to inspect the proposed order before sending.] Sometimes there are substantially less than a few seconds to spare, and a faster method is needed. I suppose I could use a keyboard shortcut such `+`/`-` and `C-u C-c C-c` to send when the value is correct. Thinkorswim lets a user drag the existing order bubble with the mouse (up or down) and when the user releases the mouse, the order is sent at the value where the order bubble has been dragged to. **Q**: **Suggestions for enabling a similar feature in Emacs would be greatly appreciated, or another idea for a type of increase/decrease mechanism that could be moved with *both* keyboard shortcuts and also the mouse (if so desired).** Typically, there are anywhere between 2 to 6 orders that are open. When replacing an existing order, I need to either (1) choose the exact type of order template and select from the existing orders to be replaced ..., or (2) use the *whopper* template that contains all order types that are open and then jump to the type of order desired, select the order to be replaced if the suggested default is not the one desired, enter the new value and then type `C-u C-c C-c`. [OCO orders that have not yet been initially filled are much easier to manage, with one template that controls 3 orders; and, I've set up the OCO template to accept +/- offsets for the stop loss and take-profit. The need for a slider value increase/decrease comes after the initial OCO order has been filled and the take profit versus stop loss may not necessarily be something that can be simultaneously set using +/- offsets.] Here is a screenshot that depicts the *whopper* replace order widget in Emacs on the left and Thinkorswim on the right: https://imgur.com/a/URP8FvC

This is very cool. I'm in engineering and I wouldn't even had thought that day traders / investors would use emacs as their main tool. Emacs is so flexible it keeps surprising me after 20 years of use.

Between ToS, Emacs, and the meat puppet, your system is like double clutching while the rest of the field zips by with hypertuned F1 gearboxes. Also, it was impossible to find a question in the wall of text.

Not sure what you're after. But with that description I'd suggest trying [Do Re Mi](https://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/DoReMi).

Thank you for the suggestion. The library (Do Re Mi) looks very promising. I will study its code today and run some test examples.

Thank you. I've added the letter "**Q**" next to the question and added bold font to the question itself.
