Looking for suggestions on setting up Emacs for Python dev: syntax highlighting, linting, autocomplete, etc. There’s so much variation on the web that I thought it might be easier just to ask here. Looking forward to hearing what packages/workflow works best for you, links to modern setups and init files.

Try Reddit’s search feature. This question has come up a few times already in 2022, with some decent answers. It’s complicated due to the [huge number of available options](https://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/PythonProgrammingInEmacs).
In terms of config, check out the [guide](https://gitlab.com/nathanfurnal/dotemacs/-/snippets/2060535) that u/NoisyFrequency wrote on gitlab, (there is also a similar [gist](https://gist.github.com/Nathan-Furnal/07413de07b9ac08340a5d33b541e9a6b) on github) which I got a lot out of when I setup my config.
