It's the repeated use of "of course" that make me laugh the hardest. :)

This has been removed, as it is not very civil; please attack ideas, not people.

Wow that was funny af. Thanks for sharing.

Vim is truly the best interface to your editor. I learned it when using vscode and when I switched to emacs I felt right at home in evil mode.
The video does make a good point, there is a learning curve, but the best things in life have a learning curve, don't let it dissuade you from trying.

I'm an evil user, but presenting it like that it really looks insane!
MemriTVOfficial · 2022-03-11 23:46
Yes me too, and like he said there are some modes no one uses but you don't really have to know all of it to be productive in it.

I'm a hardcore vanilla key bindings Emacs user, but I must admit I find vim style modal editing intriguing. The [SVG diagram](https://rawgit.com/darcyparker/1886716/raw/eab57dfe784f016085251771d65a75a471ca22d4/vimModeStateDiagram.svg) seen in this video (with clickable links to man pages!) is truly incredible, I suggest you check it out if you're at all interested.
I'd love to see the UML source for this document if it exists. You gotta think it was done in something like PlantUML or a similar tool right?
Edit: Looks like it was done with a mix of manual layout and various other tools, as mentioned [here](https://gist.github.com/darcyparker/1886716).

That's pretty funny
samuel1604 · 2022-03-12 10:48
and from the same author (funny how to exit vim video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w00JOVpapxA

It was obvious and over the top irony.
I've jokingly "attacked" abstract users, not a person directly.
Please, moderate real hate, not jokes.

> Vim is truly the best interface to your editor
I'm curious what makes it better than alternatives like Kakoune?
MemriTVOfficial · 2022-03-13 01:08
I meant that it was a really efficient interface for almost all editors. I'm sure kakoune and similar provide the same. I doubt any are as ubiquitous as vim though.
