After exporting an archive from Simplenote (Settings → Tools → Export Notes) and installing this package, run `org-import-simplenote` then select the downloaded archive. Every note (that isn't trashed) will be imported as an Org heading, complete with the creation timestamp.
The creation timestamp is used as the headline; I might add an option to use the first line of the note content instead, like how Simplenote itself displays notes.

Thanks for sharing.

Nice work. Worked well for me, but it would be nice if you added the option to use the first line of the note instead of the creation date. Otherwise, I don't think I would use it routinely. Even better if you could incorporate tags.

Wrote too hastily. Tags are there. Excellent.

Thank you!
I've added the option. If you set `org-import-simplenote-title-format` to `first-line`, notes should now be imported like this:
* first line
:PROPERTIES:
:created: 2021-12-07T23:31:25+0900
:END:
text content

Fantastic! Thanks!

there is also https://github.com/alpha22jp/simplenote2.el for just editing simplenotes from emacs (and you *can* edit them using org-mode, though the app/web page don't have any special support for the syntax)
