What do you think of \`pandoc-mode\`?
Will it help for this use-case?

I've been looking all over the internet, lol.

[math-preview](https://gitlab.com/matsievskiysv/math-preview/) should work in any mode. I use it in ein-mode without any issues. Note that it requires a companion nodejs package to work, visit its home page for installation details.

Thanks for the tip, I'll install nodejs now.
Also, for my physics class the .ipynb Jupyter notebook files that my instructor posted have markdown syntax similar to this:
[https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/watson-studio-local/1.2.3?topic=notebooks-markdown-jupyter-cheatsheet](https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/watson-studio-local/1.2.3?topic=notebooks-markdown-jupyter-cheatsheet)
So math-preview should work with this type of markdown, correct?
And since I'm here, I have 1 more question:
What are the main differences between the Emacs packages \`math-preview\` and \`latex-math-preview\` ?

> So math-preview should work with this type of markdown, correct?
math-preview is not exclusive to markdown. It searches for predefined math tags and passess string between them to the mathjax engine. So it's just a matter of configuration.
> What are the main differences between the Emacs packages `math-preview` and `latex-math-preview`?
`latex-math-preview` uses latex backend to convert equations and afaik does not display results inline.
`math-preview` uses nodejs based server running in the background to process equations, so there's no startup delay. It also has an advantage of handeling UTF strings.

Thanks for the information. This math-preview should really come in handy for my emacs jupyter projects.
