I currently use doom emacs. I've been searching for hours but can't figure out a way to do this.
I'm looking for a way to write that
* automatically adds paragraph indents to new lines when I press Enter but doesn't indent the entire text block (like in Scrivener, word, etc.)
* Formats it nicely like a fiction novel when I export it to pdf
I would like it to look like Composition mode in Scrivener or in Manuskript (I tried Manuskript but found it very slow, so I moved over to Emacs). I've tried almost every built-in paragraph/indent mode, Olivetti, and Writeroom Mode, but none of them seem to work.

Similar request for help that may be of help to you too:

Ah, yeah, I tried that earlier, but I don't know where to place the solution. I tried to make it a local file variable, but that didn't seem to work. Would you happen to know in which file to place the solution?

Frankly, this probably doesn't currently exist. Writing in org-mode then some custom code adding overlays at the start of paragraphs would probably be your best bet, even though it's certainly more work than just enabling a mode.

That said, if you export to PDF using LaTeX, you can have the output be in this style with the paragraphs being blank-line seperated.

I would have thought in your init file.

Doesn’t work for me either, I’ve looked this up so many times and can’t find anything
