People seemed interested in the dnd evironment that i had setup for myself. So, I decided to separated it from my personal config and move it into separate repos.
[The org file SRD](https://github.com/WMaxZimmerman/org-dnd-srd)
[The dnd-mode](https://github.com/WMaxZimmerman/dnd-mode)
The documentation in these is lacking still, but I plan on adding more information about usage. Until then, if anyone would like to try it out they are welcome to ask questions to get up and running. Right now the mode has a dependency on 'org-mode' and 'yasnippet'. It is also expecting that the repos be cloned to your '\~' directory by default (you can change it if you want).
I do not currently have an examaple of a campaign, because I only have paid for campaigns setup for my personal. If anyone wants to provide a small campaign they made I would add it as an example, I sadly don't have one at the ready right now, however.
Again, I am happy to answer questions if anyone wants to try it.

This is excellent.
I had a similar idea about a year ago.
I found the SRD in markdown format and converted it to org but it was one monolithic file which didn't work very well.

Yea, that would probably make the tagging more complicated for sure. I have only really modified the spells so far, but it makes then soo much more searchable and easy to use.

Thanks! I'm glad people like it. Let me know if you are having trouble getting setup

Honestly this is pretty 'off the rack' as well. Mostly the mode manages toggleing between different org-agenda files and captures. From there it was defining function to handle the dnd calculations.
I plan to integrate more things to it, such as a character builder and such. But, for now, org is the engine that drives this machine.
