"Virtual" word wrap length?

Is there a setting that I can use to create a virtual line length in a fundamental-mode (or really, any mode) buffer? I do some writing, and while my emacs WINDOW is full screen (I use a tiling window manager) I want the text to wrap at a given column, but only visually; I don't want actual linefeeds there. Not even sure what to search for. I want something like 'visual-line-mode' that respects the fill-column value.

[visual-fill-column](https://codeberg.org/joostkremers/visual-fill-column) is probably what you're looking for.

Another option is the Olivetti package. https://github.com/rnkn/olivetti

This looks like it, yes. Thanks!
