You can see the customized org-habit graph for the "Meditate" heading.

Great! Now to follow the agenda...
tonystark29 · 2022-02-05 18:42
Wow, awesome. I've used Orgzly with syncthing in the past, but this takes it to a whole new level.

Which app is this?

You can read about this setup [in this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/emacs/comments/moc6dw/my_orgagenda_on_my_phone/gu2szcc/?context=3).

It's awesome.

Clever trick.
Do you manually invoke `save-screenshot-svg ()` and `sync-agenda-svg ()`?
Do you need to change Emacs' width/height to match the dimensions or width/height-ratio on your desktop before?
Would it be possible to screenshot only a particular buffer (actually, "[window](https://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/Window)" would be the right term here I guess) maybe a specific configuration number of eyebrowse?
I maybe would like to automate this as a background task and I want to find out, how well this can be done in background without interfering with my normal work. Currently, I do generate an export of my agenda for the upcoming 3 months or so in an HTML file. This is great for quick lookups as it allows pinch to zoom, scrolling and doesn't require much foo around it. While this will be my method of choice to access my mid-term agenda on my mobile, I probably will think of trying your method as an additional option.
Besides: You should mention function names in your postings as line numbers are fragile and blog about this: *Ceterum autem censeo* [*don't contribute anything relevant in web forums like Reddit only*](https://karl-voit.at/2020/10/23/avoid-web-forums)

Thanks for the tip about function names. I try to document stuff in my GitHub repo's README file, and sure maybe some day I blog about it.
Yes it us automated. There is a [systemd user timer](https://github.com/psamim/dotfiles/blob/master/systemd/user/sync-agenda-svg.timer) which runs [my sync-agenda-svg script](https://github.com/psamim/dotfiles/blob/master/bin/sync-agenda-svg) regularly. This script runs Emacs in the background using xvfb with a set height and width and calls a function inside Emacs to prepare the buffer for export. The generated SVG file is synced using Syncthing. Everything runs seamlessly and in the background.

I am planning to setup the same.
Can you tell why you have stopped and what are you using now? :)
tonystark29 · 2022-02-13 18:50
I still use it from time to time, but I switched from Emacs to [Obsidian.md](https://Obsidian.md)
I mainly use org files for programming notes, while my main daily notes are with markdown synced with syncthing. I might go back, as Org Roam V2 has released.
Ziip_dev · 2022-02-14 11:02
Alright, I've had my eye on Obsidian too, very nice and interesting piece of software but not open source so no go for me.
Practical/utilitarian question: don't you lack org-mode style inline formatting and in-buffer capabilities even for daily notes? Isn't markdown side previewing a bit annoying in the long run?
I'm guessing this is why you still keep programming notes in org files, but I have not tested a lot of PKM software myself, still want to improve my mastery of org-mode and friends :)

no pressure, but are you acually following your agenda???
psamim · 2022-02-15 15:23
Mostly.
Work events are synced from my work Google calendar using org-gcal, so yes, I do attend all work meetings. Other events are personal (birthday, bills, etc) or recurring chores and if I do not have time to do them I reschedule them to be reminded later. I check the TODO items daily and try to do them, sometimes I fail to do them. But the list is there to make sure I have them stored somewhere safe and I won't miss any important note or TODO.
