I really like elfeed, it's really convenient to use one program to read news and feeds and save them in org files. But! I faced with [this](https://github.com/skeeto/elfeed/issues/449) problem.
When I read reddit, the text gets very narrow, and it's very annoying when reading this kind of content.
(The picture below is me reading this subreddit [https://www.reddit.com/r/Popular\_Science\_Ru.rss](https://www.reddit.com/r/Popular_Science_Ru.rss)).
I did not make any special settings for elfeed.

Perhaps someone has encountered something like this?

I can confirm that I see similar behavior with that feed. Elfeed uses shr to render HTML inside feeds, so my guess is that the feed itself has some formatting which causes the problem.
Maybe adjusting `shr-width` and/or `shr-max-width` will help.

I have been using elfeed from the beginning and never seen anything like your screen shot. I don't see the header with metadata or centered and narrowed text.... Strange.

I think it depends on the subreddit. I have also never seen this behavior in emacs subreddit

I never would have thought of that. I assumed that the html-css is basically the same for all subs -- could it be effected by the character set used? I don't know how it could -- CJK unicode effects line height when mixed with romanji (roman alphabet) but nothing that would cause the centering and narrowing in the screenshot.
I use elfeed to read about 10 different subreddits but all of them are mostly in english. I'll try adding a few non-roman character subs for a couple of days and see if I get different results.
I do find this perplexing...

Please let us know if you figure it out. I would like to know what would cause this kind of behavior.
BTW: My avatar has turned into an anime character without telling me -- hmm...
