Hi All,
Inspired by Emacs From Scratch I decided to upend my IDE functionality in my config for lsp-mode. LSP starts and is functional, but lsp-ui is shoddy. The sideline functionality and the header breadcrumbs do not work. For me this is not a big deal, but what is bothering me is that lsp-ui-flycheck-list does not work.
I need to manually run M-x load-library lsp-ui-flycheck and only then will lsp-ui-flycheck-list show me the list of errors on the page. This leads me to believe there is a loading issue somewhere.
the relevant init section is this:
```
(use-package lsp-mode
:straight t
:commands lsp
:hook ((typescript-mode js2-mode web-mode python-mode) . lsp)
:bind (:map lsp-mode-map
("TAB" . completion-at-point))
:custom (lsp-headerline-breadcrumb-enable nil))
(use-package lsp-ui
:straight t
:hook (lsp-mode . lsp-ui-mode)
:config
(setq lsp-ui-sideline-enable t)
(setq lsp-ui-sideline-show-hover nil)
(setq lsp-ui-doc-position 'bottom)
(lsp-ui-doc-show))
(use-package lsp-treemacs
:after lsp)
```
After startup I do see a few relevant error messages:
```
...
File mode specification error: (error The connected server(s) does not support method textDocument/hover.
To find out what capabilities support your server use ‘M-x lsp-describe-session’
and expand the capabilities section)
Error running timer: (error "The connected server(s) does not support method textDocument/hover.
To find out what capabilities support your server use ‘M-x lsp-describe-session’
and expand the capabilities section")
LSP :: pylsp:11352 initialized successfully in folders:
...
```
Can this be the source of the problem ?
thx.
