World building thread

I am a world builder/explorer. What it boils down to is the combination of 3 things. 1) Multiverse approach The philosophical belief and approach that parallel worlds exist and you can (spiritually/mentally) go there. Which is supported by a bunch of religions and movements out there on earth, and you can read into some if you want for a better understanding (ask) 2) Inspiration and creation This usually requires dust-input, in the form of relevant art, media, and especially video games in order to accumulate world context and vibe. You are building yourself a type of mythos or subjective other-culture in order to grow closer to this other world. Just like, steampunk or whatever. Accumulate richness on the target in order to build and connect with. I call it dust. 3) Dreaming and floating This stage requires deep practicing of lucid dreaming and dream control techniques, as well as some subconscious work. This is the next stage brought about by the other 2 which i also call the shaman state. At this stage, the user will have developed dreamability to an advanced level. You exist on the boundary between worlds. You enter an unstable float stage which allows for the connection to and nearing of dream worlds and pockets. You will intuitively know the difference between your own nonsense dreamery and a real 'world'. This stage is helped along by constant dust-input, vibing, being a NEET, dream lucidity exercises such as detailed dream journaling, social isolation, a quiet controlled environment, and relevant substance use. I have also found that heavy depression helps because the user innately rejects waking 'reality'. Some of these methods are not wise however as they may compromise the livelihood of the mythos (and be unkind to the user). Combining these 3 stages is the world-connection process (along as some other things you have to do along the way, but you will figure it out). This will lead the user to the boundary between worlds (since your dream world connects you to the spirit world). Upon arrival to such a spiritual state the user must continue with quite a bit of homework until being able to go to literally anywhere. All worlds that you can imagine exist. A lot are are populated by sentient beings, some more populous, some less, some not at all, there are pockets and worlds for all moods, ambiances, emotions and aesthetics, and, depending on where you go and how advanced your dream mastery is, do anything you can imagine. The richness of this myriad is unexplainable, just know that everything exists. If you can think of it, it exists. "Is there a post-apocalypse-type world where..." Yes. "Is there a world just like in Dishonored with..." Yes. "Is there a world that has..." Yes. They all exist. There are worlds that make our planet look like hell. Conversely some worlds are so fuarrrked they make ours look like paradise. If you can feel it, there is a world out there (or deep within) that is literally made out of that feeling. So be cautious of your inner state, because birds of a feather flock together. In truth, every time you dream you make a world with your thoughts, it's just that real dream 'worlds' have other sentients in them, thus also making them bigger and richer. "Anything exists" also applies to the content of such worlds. All things and beings you can think of are real somewhere out there, and you get to choose which to meet. If there are any real requirements from the get-go for anyone who envisions following this path, i can only really think of creativity, intuition, and deep emotional sensibility. It helps to have the ability to spring up with cool stories and to think of cool plots that you like. I will give an example of a dream pocket. This is a small one but it will lay a groundwork for your understanding. Ultimately i want this thread to be full of people posting their dream pocket's vibes and interactions. Luminous Aldi forest In a clear and light forest, always at day, feels German or Scandinavian. It feels fresh, free, has German-style modern flat cobble on the ground, with very few actual car roads and instead preferring pedestrian access roads. There are tiny cobbled car parks within the forest and some cars tend to be parked there. Adjacent to these car parks are always small grocery stores, which feel German or Scandinavian, give off that rich European country vibe, and might be Aldis or Lidls. Everything feels clear, clean, pure, and seems devoid of dark emotions. As a broader world i infer that it may be a place of little suffering and instead enabling one to grow, be fulfilled, and heal from anything in time. It seems very therapeutic and friendly. I have went to many other worlds and their pockets, explored a little bit of everything. But i don't know if i am very comfortable with posting all of these, so kindly give me a break. And it's not good to put the wrong things in your mind. But if you got questions ask them i guess. And yes, i know lainchan is slow, but where else could i go with this? I guess we need to discover more communities, and more methods for dust-building. For example, one of the things i do is load up hours-long classical music playlists (like from https://invidio.us/channel/UC1vjo6rNZ02sQX21MU9pYQw) and just browse VSCO for hours using 4get. I will also do world-building by writing down ideas and putting the world's moods and information to paper in order to construct a better picture. From that point onward i guess you could say you are the one generating the dust. I also tend to look into aesthetics themselves, such as light academia, or various artistic currents. Well, i guess there's a lot that could be said about this, so i want to leave you some space. This is effectively a thread about 'going in deep' (and being high) So post your world! Post recommendations on where to get 'dusted up'! Link sites and content to aesthetics and world-building sites! Discuss! Add your knowledge! Don't be a cunt! Give your stories! Make /zzz/ a bit more lively!
