Good evening, everyone, I'm Japanese, so I'm using a translator. Please don't mind if some parts sound a bit off. I'll get straight to the point—please listen to me for a moment. For the past few years, I've constantly felt like something's wrong with my mental and physical state. I've been taking medication since elementary school because I have autism, but for the past few years, I've been feeling this strange, unpleasant sensation that has nothing to do with those conditions. Specifically, I'm constantly driven by this sense of urgency. Even when all my tasks are done, I feel like I have to do something or I might die. And I can't focus on anything. This feeling doesn't go away even when I take my meds. Basically, I feel this sad sensation like I might die right now, 24/7. Physically, I'm always lethargic and have zero energy. When I'm hanging out with people, it's fun, but somewhere in my head, I feel like I want time to pass quickly. Anyway, I constantly have this strange feeling that I want time to pass quickly, that I want even the most enjoyable moments to end soon. This is truly painful. I strongly wish to live more calmly and quietly, but I probably won't... Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

What is the medication you are taking? Not the brand name but the generic name. This sense of wanting to rush through things. Do you feel like you are in the process of dying and also having difficulty breathing? Are there specific tasks that you feel the need to do in a very specific way that does not always make logical sense? Does this only happen when away from home or does it happen at home as well? For translation you can compare translators easily using a Mozhi instance and selecting "all engines". I personally find DuckDuckGo to translate Japanese to English the most natural sounding aside from often failing to handle names properly.

Perhaps find a therapist you feel comfortabble with and try to find the source of your anxiety and depression. It could be related to your autism, but not necessarily.

Good evening! I kind of feel the same -- at least i think so. I am not taking any medication, yet i feel somewhat similar. Last 4 years was insane - constant grind just to feed myself, overworking myself to exhaustion. About 4-6 hours of sleep. Anxiety, urge to always run - every week is like my last. My country is screwed, and i wasn't able to get any sensible income until autumn of this year. Now i am saving up money to move myself and my girlfriend out of here. Need to survive for at least 2-3 years. I also have some weird dissociations, like i feel like i have died a long time ago, and dont even exist now. Like i dont even a human, but some thing that merely pretends to be a human. I could partially fix this feeling by doing extreme sports (mountain biking) and going to gym (mainly just lifting). Sense of real, physical danger makes this feeling go away for some time, and when your body gets some exercise it calms down naturally. The strange feeling never goes away fully, but doing these two things really helps me to sleep better and to restore grip on reality. So. My guess is your condition and medication have nothing to do with your current state. I dont know if my and your sensations are of the same nature, but i hope my experience can help you in tracing source of your troubles. Happy new year, i hope next one will be better then this one :-)

I can relate, it is a difficult and hard to grasp but i know it. Have you tried not taking your medicine or try changing it? I have no idea about your living conditions, maybe you just need a good vacation somewhere real out there who knows. Anyhow good luck let us know if you work this out and how, i have no solid advice to give.

>>8482 >I've been taking medication since elementary school because I have autism Sounds bad. There's no medication for autism, so you were forced to take something and were not told the real reason. Maybe side effects are causing your issues. Autistic people can also sometimes react differently to medications, even for simple things like headaches or a cold. >I'm Japanese Off-topic, but how did you end up here?

>>8487 > Sounds bad. There's no medication for autism, so you were forced to take something and were not told the real reason. Maybe side effects are causing your issues. This is not entirely correct. Sometimes medication is given to try to reduce outbursts. This usually is something like lorazepam or risperidone. >Autistic people can also sometimes react differently to medications, even for simple things like headaches or a cold. Different how? I could understand for psychiatric but NSAIDs too? >>8499 That is why I was asking OP questions for clarification. I'm first in thread to respond.

Again I go back to the video of lobsters and depression. Feeling bad is good. It' s a sign something needs changing or fixing. Sometimes it's impossible to act directly upon. But the sign will be there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcUAIpZrwog Meds are bad
