Yeah, my dreams are often connected and contain re-occurring characters/gods/entities.
You might like to read H.P. Lovecraft's "The Silver Key".
Note: Crowley's "sex magik" is a "love craft" that oft produces 'cosmic' horrors/horus/whores. That said, Silver Key seems to be less ominous, a pre-mind-break LoveCraft containing the optimism of an "Alice" new to [w]Underland.
Beware Neo, exploring the dream realms can open a gateway to forbidden wisdoms. There are beings lurking in the collective unconciousness of man who graze upon the dreams of our minds. "They" (egregore) accentuate certain kinds of dreams and blur the boundary between the wired (fiction/dream) world
Beware of egregore and lying spirits, but note that they may just be bored minds who wish to play. Babylon's mysterious den of inequity is full of childish things meant to be put away.
There are devices for enhancing dream. For instance, I've got a dream machine that generates delta waves via rotating bar magnets near the head. It locks the subject into a dream state that one can not wake up from (until the timer expires or power goes out)... Things like this are the basis for movies like "inception".
TL;DR: Yeah, would like to get into more detail, but secret cults police online discourse about the esoteric subject matter they claim as their sphere of "[White] Magic".

This happens to me kinda. I return to a lot of places in dreams, mentally speaking, though the continuity between dreams isn't super literal. I guess it's like the dream being interconnected with other dreams in this loose, fuzzy way that feels like it makes more sense when I'm in it. I think things like "Oh, I'm here again," in dreams even if all the details are not necessarily the same as they were in other dreams, because somehow the connection rings true while I'm dreaming.

same here lainon. it's strange, one night i'll have a dream and completely forget about it, but i'll have another dream a few nights later and remember everything from the previous dream and... "continue" the first dream for lack of a better term. this has happened multiple times and it's as if i have a second life in that dream world. a second memory, new people, everything like that.
