coffee nap

Every time I take a caffeinated nap I have incredibly vivid and sometimes lucid dreams. More often than not, they contain body/psychological horror themes or a flight/pursuit plot. The actual content and interpretation is not concerning to me. The nightmarish dreamworlds are somewhat new to me and often reoccurring. I am curious if other lains have similar experiences.

if I could dream I could tell the difference from caffeinated nap lain. unfortunately I can't dream. also I don't notice the effect of caffeine when I drink coffee, even if I drink a lot

>>6953 One time I had an extremely vivid and intense caffeine nap dream where all sensation in my body condensed into my skull and I could see my skull floating in a void and I was a perfectly neutral observer

Not quite the same, but I was on a lot of coffee the few times that I experienced sleep paralysis. I was also greatly sleep deprived, though, so that may have been the primary reason rather than the coffee.

It happens to me that when I have enough alcohol to feel its effects and I go to sleep I usually have quite "realistic" dreams that are usually about me having a conflict with a woman, it is something that seems too strange to me but I like it quite a bit now. I usually have these dreams before I wake up and they are usually so realistic for me that when I wake up I still have the feelings I had in the dream. For example, if in the dream I was angry when I woke up I'm still angry but if I was sad (these are the 2 most recurrent emotions) I'm still sad when I wake up, dreams are not usually as memorable but entertaining and interesting enough to keep me wanting. have them. I'm also experimenting a little about the dreams I have and marijuana

>>6953 They say that nicotine while you sleep causes vivid nightmares. Never experienced it to my knowledge but a lot of people I think say they get it from a strong dose a nicotine patch, which I have never tried.

>>6955 At first it almost feels like the sensation of etheric/astral projection but I am always too tired, even with the caffeine, and I fall asleep. >>6956 same happens to me sometimes. The flight/pursuit theme can manifest itself in trying to escape sleep. It pulls me in and no matter what I do I cannot get out. Usually when I have sleep paralysis it turns out to be series of nested dreams. I am chronically sleep deprived. >>6957 alcohol can do this. You don't really "sleep" but instead just lie there until the alcohol wears off. Usually if my dreams are particularly memorable they have themes of loss. Various characters within the dreams still make me feel this same sense of loss when I am awake. >>6959 this might explain it. Too bad the nicotine addiction is real.

>>6953 >>6956 Good lord. That sounds intense. But intriguing. I've never mastered the caffiene/coffee nap, but I'd appreciate any tips. >>6957 This though. Not all the time or even often, but I do sometimes get very vivid dreams on alcohol. Although sometimes I'll also have very vivid dreams when I stop watching media for a while. It's almost like my brain is trying to make up for lost stimulation...
