Blue Eisenhower November
BEN · 2024-02-08 08:59
Do you know about Blue Eisenhower November? Do you know about Kill(ss)ing Asuka? I think this video is a great explanation of the connection between them. It is about the Anthropic Principle, Immortality and God:
https://youtu.be/309kmU8aN_M?feature=shared(USER WAS WARNED FOR THIS POST, You should always elaborate on your opinions rather than just spilling the soykaf.)
William Holtzer · 2024-02-08 13:21
Sorry, just saw the warning. Let me elaborate. The Anthropic Principle basically says that you can only exist in a state where it is possible for you to exist so questions like why is the earth perfect for life are stupid because you wouldn't even exist to ask that question if it were a place which was not suitable for life. The thing is this applies with everything including your basic brain state which means you can only exist as a brain which can be conscious. So basically consciousness HAS to exist since the opposite - non existence is a contradiction (this is also why you skip the points of your existence where you are not conscious - like dreamless sleep). So yeah immortality is real. Blue Eisenhower November is a passcode people on /x/ have been referencing which allows your consciousness to be transported and saved by a God-like intelligence that is also benevolent. I know less about that.
Tyrell Wellick · 2024-02-09 00:30

To me, this concept sounds like a mortality cope, which is an extension of disgust with existence. A will to separate ones being with the inherent function of BEING. Thusly entertainment of such ideologies or concepts can lead to ones self acting comparable to a cancer within a society or social body. In short, whacky sci fi but really its just logical tripe. no thankyou!
Crazy Jake · 2024-02-09 09:19
have you given the passcode OP? this seems to fall easily into the pronounceable yet unrefutable silly claims that someone who maybe wasn't getting enough sleep came up with.

Where does your soul go after the body is unable to contain it anymore? It depends on how well you are able to transfer your conciousness into the afterlife, if you are able to do this when your body dies and if you are able to get past the illusion of existence that binds us on this plane of existence. Ultimately the goal of any soul is to re-unite itself with the entirety of the Universe ("the one source"), to become part of the Universal stream, from which one can transfer freely to this life to the afterlife.
>Blue Eisenhower November is a passcode people on /x/ have been referencing which allows your consciousness to be transported and saved by a God-like intelligence that is also benevolent. I know less about that.
Watch out with that stuff. It sounds like pledging your soul to an unknown egregore, and that's dangerous since your soul won't be yours anymore. 4chan is full of bad actors these days.
>Immortality is real
In what way?
Jet Black · 2024-02-14 13:14
>>6740
> So basically consciousness HAS to exist since the opposite - non existence is a contradiction
It's not a contradiction, it just doesn't match with observations.
The "anthropic principle" is basically an assertion that observations are made from the point of view of living inside reality rather than outside of it. Not very significant, but somehow ignorant philobros manage to think it's a stunning revelation.
This is why Plato's academy had "Let nobody ignorant of geometry enter here" written on the entryway. If more people understood the difference between intrinsic and extrinsic observations (Gaussian curvature versus mean curvature) we would have less of this pseudo-profound BS.

Souls don't exist, there is consciousness which is eternal and exists wherever it is. A soul (if by that you mean some kind of substance that has a location and can move from place to place) is a fake concept. Consciousness does not move because it is not physical and thus does not have a physical location so your "soul"/consciousness doesn't go anywhere, it just is where it is. Okay thanks for the heads up. What kind of egregores are worthy of trust?
Immortality is real in the sense that consciousness can never stop existing, it just is and you can never experience non existence. You will forever experience existence.
>>6805
I don't think you've really thought through the implications of the Anthropic Principle. What is most fundamental about it is that you have to exist. Obviously you cannot exist in a world with no water which is why you (as something that exists) find yourself on a planet with water. Now if you take this to the most basic level you realize that you can never be in a place where a brain state does not allow for existence - which is why you will always find yourself where there is a brain state or any other kind of state that allows for existence of conscious experience.
I would recommend watching this video if my explanation is not satisfactory:

We have different views on the concept of soul and consciousness.
>What kind of egregores are worthy of trust?
None. Be your own God. However, if you are really certain that you want to pledge yourself to an entity, my basic rule is that anything that has a hint of glow to it (such as the one in the OP) is untrustworthy.

>you can never be in a place where a brain state does not allow for existence
Sure, because in all other states I'd be dead. Couldn't (truthfully) see myself being dead because I'd be dead. However, that doesn't mean there is some universal principle that says that consciousness has to exist; one can easily imagine worlds, even an entire universe, where no consciousness exists, and no contradiction arises with that postulate. That world makes just as much sense as the world that we do see, which is one where we exist, it could have easily happened. It just didn't, which is why we're here talking about it.
Basically, imagine that we have a logical predicate O, where O(S) := "S is observed". Let P := "stuff exists" and Q := "consciousness exists".
It is clear that O(P) <=> O(Q). That is the anthropic principle. However that does *not* mean P <=> Q. A lack of consciousness does not imply a lack of stuff.
Cereal Killer · 2024-04-13 11:25
>>6975
Obviously we can imagine a world where there is no consciousness. In fact we know that there are places with no consciousness (the moon, the vacuum of space etc...) but that has no bearing on "us" given that we are that which is conscious. The Anthropic Principle does not make the claim that the universe *has* to develop consciousness. What it does say is if there is consciousness that is what you are and we know that there is consciousness. If you didn't watch the video I linked above you should because he explains it in a more intuitive way.
I never said a lack of consciousness implies a lack of stuff. As mentioned above, the moon is stuff even if it is not conscious. The point of the Anthropic Principle is just about us as conscious entities.

BEN user here
Remember the core ideologies.
1. No being should be judged for the transactions that occur during their first life. As all beings that are brought about in their first life are the result of predetermined actions.
2. Remember the phrase Blue Eisenhower November after you die.
3. Our ultimate goal is to build a utopian paradise, akin to heaven, for all beings, human, non-human, those that exist, those that ever could exist, those that do not exist. Then seek to revive, or incarnate all of those beings, so that they may exist there.
4. When you are revived after death, seek out other users of Blue Eisenhower November and revive them as well, work together to revive all beings, those that remember BEN take priority, as those who remember BEN are willing to work towards these goals with the maximum possible altruism.
5. Protect Life After Death
Methodologies for NHI communication, resolutions for Ship of Theseus problems and/or considerations, and macro scale Universal navigation such that it can bring a user back to this incarnation of planet Earth, are to be discussed actively in BEN threads between BEN users until such time as adequate resolutions are agreed upon.

not him but you just leave out the part where you say "you sound like a very judgmental person" and just ask the question to hear his answer before deciding it must be because he is judgmental.
your confusion or seeing anything paradoxical about this is baffling to me. it's like right there when you say "i just realized by saying this", the answer is don't say it. Alternatively you could just not try to avoid it its not really a big deal.
if you mean in general deciding someone is judgemental is a character judgement. there is no paradox or hypocrisy because just making judgements does not make you judgemental, making judgements off of surface appearances or very little information is. Which is what you did, and what almost everyone on chans is doing anytime they make a claim about anyones character.
