sleep demons · 2023-06-13 00:09
I might sound crazy but it is also something that I can't really talk about with normal people because they will assume I am crazy.
I have a condition that makes me walk at night (somnambulant?) with age it stopped manifesting as sleep walking and started becoming dreams of nightmares and demons visiting me in my sleep. For a long while I have been waking up for at least 3-4 times every night because of various witches, monsters and people visiting me in my sleep. It really started to affect my psyche and I started to try and fight back against them in my dreams. I would interact or try to call their names in an attempt to banish them. something that would turn fruitful when I managed to banish a demon of a small child that would visit me every night for some times. ever since I would write and describe them whenever I would see them and it helped me make them disappear (maybe I wrote down their names when I started my dream diary) the thing is I think that it might be something deeper in my subconscious and I want to start meditating myself to sleep to try and open this world in my subconscious. I had a good few first steps when I started laying motionless in bed before sleep and take deep breaths. the problem was that I started feeling my heart beating so strong it made me scared that it might rip out of my body. yesterday I actually managed to control it and channel it to pump and felt it throughout my body. when I was at the peak of concentration I could even feel it pumping in my head / brain. the problem was that I couldn't keep it that strong for a long time. and I couldn't keep it up for long enough that I would fall asleep.
I can also dream very vividly, I dream every night and remember a good chunk of my dreams.
do you know and good exercise to make my heart stronger so that I feel it stronger throughout the body? do you guys know any sources about sleep demons? I tried searching in kabala but my aramaic is very limited and its hard to find the true meaning without it being lost in translation. is it even the correct way to approach this situation?
also sorry if it seems weird I am just getting it out of my brain

The best way to fight back is to just chill.
I don't really get into magick or any occult proper, but I've dealt with one negative entity not by choice extensively, so my advice is from that perspective. Do you notice the demons in your dreams generally acting the same, or can you define any underlying theme or state of mind that comes from it? Think of all the ways this phenomenon could have manifest and ask why this particular way is how it did.
If after some thought the conclusion is in fact there is a clear consistency then these things you're experiencing is a single entity -- and it's final, either that or it's not an entity and just some cognitive instability. I do think this is important to stress if that's what's happening because believing there's many things going on at once instead of one will have you chasing and championing endless red herrings and possibly overwhelm you. In dreams, you can with a bit of practice manifest any thing or scenario you wish. That is a property of the dream space, not the dreamer. The senses can be modulated in much the same way. Placebo, nocebo, emotions, pleasure and pain, and so on are all an interplay of what you expect. Again, a property of the space, or physical body, not the individual. If mystic soykaf is nonsense it's the same either way, maybe the truth is somewhere in between, idk. But whatever it is, it's only as effective as you react to it, so being conscious of it is as far as it should go. Intuitively and naturally, whether you consciously work on it or not, it will fade as long as you allow it to. Just keep it simple and with patience.

Your pineal gland is working very well.
I don't have a good advice, but just to make some research to know how to maintain you gland working, it will be good for you.

I had a similar experience. For a long time, I would wake up with these weird scratches on my left shoulder every day, and they would not disappear/would inhibit my sleep every night. My solution was to perform chaos magick. I used the Cut-up technique to create a symbol to banish all evil spirits from entering my house and I kid you not the next night those scratches disappeared completely and I haven't seen them again. Maybe you should try that? The air also feels more clear/pure in here now, but I opened my window so who knows about that.

Depression is real, but there are definitely some parasitic entities that latch on to some poor souls, causing all sort of mischief. I don't think calling OP to chill when they might be harassed by literal demons every night is very useful.

I don't think there is no really "reacting" to these things if they indeed are what I think they are, that is to say actual harmful entities. These things WILL NOT fade away, they have to be literally banished out somehow with the numerous ways available. While I think it's true that lessening negative thought patterns will weaken them, they will not just "leave" which should be the point after all. Consider the fading versus banishment, it makes sense to actually banish these things, because human mind is prone to negative thinking which these "things" leech off from.

Try sleeping on your right side. Right side sleepers supposedly have less nightmares.
