do you have a dream u cant forget?? mine is when i was 8 years old. basically it was my backyard and there was a river floating through it to my house's kitchen. floating heads would go down the river into my house making grotesque facial expressions while some heads were airborne making the same grotesque facial expressions. also i have reoccurring dreams in which walls of water are coming to swallow me up but the only thing i can do in the dream is wait as the tsunami water drifts ever closer. additionally, i have had dreams where i am frictionless and stuck in between a giant skating ramp with textures of a field and masses of people, also frictionless, are tossed from side to side ceaslessly

>>5730 I had a recurring dream as a kid i cant forget. In any dream, whatever it happens, there would be this moment, potentially. All people would go away somehow, for example, maybe im in the street and someone i am with crosses the corner and it desappear. I then know its this dream. I cant moove nor scream, and suddenly, a dog of any possible race would approach me slowly from distance, and i would then panic. At some distance, the dog would throw himself to me real fast, like running like its life is on it. And then the dog would start to lick me with lust on the neck voraciously, and then more dogs would come running from the distance and do the same, a lot of them, 10-15 dogs.

Little key scurps as I call them. They chirp into my mind and bail.

I used to have this recurring dream when I was a kid. Something with a swingset overlooking a really pretty sunset on a Midwestern field. Stopping having it sometime around 13-15 I would guess but I can never forget it.

>>5730 I don't dream but that I visit the same region of dreamspace. It's to the point where I can map it and point out its distinct regions and features. 30 years of it, now.

>>5730 I had a dream as a kid about numbers that got terrifyingly large. I would look at one piece of paper and it was a fairly normal, everyday number like 18 or 24 or so. Look a little bit to the right, 89 or so (big number for me at the time, as I would have been 7 or 8 or so and my family was very poor so having that much of anything seemed crazy). It'd go up to maybe 300 ish, then 10,000, then something like a million, and then some ridiculously large number only used by a mathematician like a sextillion, and then finally googleplex. There was another number I was aware of beyond googleplex (at the time I thought googleplex was the largest number) but lacked the capability to sense or comprehend it. It felt like the weight of these numbers were somehow on me. Not sure why or how to explain it, but there was true terror in seeing those numbers go up. Seeing 10,000 was like some secret society on earth and "seeing beyond the veil", so to speak, while something like 1,000,000+ would be seeing into another dimension or an unknown law of physics. Googleplex was like meeting God's creator. It instilled a horrible sense of how tiny and small I was in the big picture, and how small everything is in comparison to the universe. It was genuinely terrifying and one of those dreams that made you feel awful for the next week or so afterwards. Most thrilling single thing I can think of in my entire life and I've been desperately searching to find a horror movie that replicates the feeling, or trying to have more dreams like this! I had a somewhat similar one when I was 16 and very ill about the speed of light and cats that could phase through you due to how fast they were, but it was pretty different ultimately. Anyone else with dreams like this? My friends look at me like I'm crazy whenever I try to explain it. Very spiritual important dream

>>5730 I also have the tsunami dream. Usually it is a recurring loop about 30 minutes long. My home and neighborhood are empty of people and then the wave comes and I drown/get crushed by debris. I've had it at happen at least 4 nights that I remember. >>5821 The number representation is interesting, I get that feeling thinking about ordinality. Cats do that, why do you think they have pupils with that shape and the tapetum lucidum? The cats we see are projections/images of past/future felids. Predatory pests laden with parasites with a history of emnity to hominids, not to be trusted if you ask me. Toxoplasmosis enjoyers need not respond.

>>5821 when I was 15 I dreamt I was overlooking the entire galaxy. but it felt like more than that, I felt connected to the entire universe. the entire time I felt this surging sickness in my stomach, I think I'd eaten something bad that night. I woke up in a sweat and when I eventually fell asleep again I saw two cubes bouncing up and down and I had that same terrible feeling.

>>5730 I have PTSD so I'm pretty used to fuarrrked up nightmares. Most of them don't really phase me that much, but the one I still remember to this day was something I experienced in high school. For context around this time, I'm a 17yo girl dating this absolute freak other student with a bunch of equally weird friends. In general, the relationship was pretty abusive and soykafty. At some point, one of these friends told me they had frequent school shooting fantasies and easy access to guns. Somewhere between the abuse and all this, I became kind of convinced they were going to shoot up the school. I went on kind of a true crime spree after, because I was just trying to convince myself I wasn't dating someone capable of that kind of thing that's when the nightmares started. The dream was basically vignettes of me reliving the colombine shooting as the victims, except the shooters were those kids I knew just shooting me again and again. After being shot I'd just immediately assume the POV of being elsewhere in the school about to get shot so its just a loop. The part I remember most was during one of the scenes i was hiding under the library table as they scoped out the room just knowing they'd come for me eventually. I'm watching this shooter's feet from what little i can see under the table, he comes over and of course stops right in front of my table. I remember him knocking on the table and saying, "Peekaboo" and looking under at me with a shotgun pointed at me. It's my ex boyfriend. He shoots me in the face. They never shot up the school, but my ex definitely did some fuarrrked up violence I don't want to go into. We separated shortly after and i haven't heard from him in years, thankfully. Sry this is kinda long and also sweet choice in disco elysium artwork.

I used to have the tsunami dream almost every night. That or a massive unnatural storm. The dream always ended when I realized my chances of survival were next to none. I was going through a lot of soykaf back then. I also have reoccurring dreams of the same locations that are always different but only contextually. Settings include mall/school/hospital; usually a place where I am looking for someone or getting drinks/food from the stands that are around. Next is the woods. Trails and pathways over creeks and over woodland waterways, Third is being institutionalized or rather trapped somewhere with people you care about. The "feel" from these dreams is the same so that's why I bring them up. It isn't necessary a reoccurring dream so much as a reoccurring setting and general narrative direction.

>floating heads would go down the river into my house making grotesque facial expressions >also i have reoccurring dreams in which walls of water are coming to swallow me up Have you ever thought about why those heads were making those faces? Maybe they were others who were swallowed by the very waters that you feared would swallow you up.

Once I had a dream about walking around a market with my grandma. Suddenly, these random monsters began chasing us. I don't really remember what the monster look like but we ran. As we ran we saw this type of forest park type. Police were all around, and as I took a closer look I notice my great-grandpa. He was in a huge bucket with boiling green water, he was rotten, and his bones were sticking out. The smoke coming out, the way he lay as if he was laying on a floaty. That dream traumatizes the soykaf out of me. The even worse thing is that he had already passed away, and I still get very bad dreams of him to this day. I remember in one of my other dream he cursed at me saying I'm not a part of the family. Either way is still scary.

I have a couple of oddly memorable dreams, but this one is particularly important to me due to the weird impact it had on my perception of the world. Back when I as 7-8 years old, I had a dream that I was playing with some random toys in front of a large, CRT TV in my parents' bedroom. Everything seemed perfectly ordinary, until the point when I accidentally hit the shelf on top of which the TV was placed. At that very moment time had slowed down, and that TV slowly fell down on my head. I have passed out, but I could hear my parents screaming for help and calling an ambulance. Soon after that, I woke up, terrified of what I've experienced. That very story, In conjunction with how realistic it felt, made me question whether I've been transported into an alternative reality, where I didn't make the same mistake of hitting that shelf, in turn making me very uneasy about my relatives (because you know, maybe they're not the same people as from before that dream?) TL;DR: a weird dream made me believe in quantum immortality as a kid

my most memorable dreams were from my childhood for sure, around when i was maybe 6-8. the very first dream i can remember was in my basement. we had a finished and unfinished side in the basement; in the dream i went to the unfinished side (where my mom's home office was irl) and it was a whole factory. it ran constantly, but never produced anything. something about it was super unsettling -- i'm not sure if it was the darkness or the noise or how much bigger than usual that side of the basement was -- but it freaked me out and then i started seeing weird soykaf emerge from the shadows. when i tried to leave, the door was locked, i felt something coming up behind me, and then i woke up.

Mine was around 5-6, maybe 7, I still remember it vividly (but that may be because i've told it quite a few times). Basically, i'm in the car with my mom on the parking of a cinema that was located behind it. Quite shady place. I tell my mom that I need to go to the bathroom, and she says that I'm enough of a grown-up to go by myself. So I do, and I enter a long hallway with toilet doors on every sides. I decide to go to the one on the other side of the hallway, but it ends up not being an actual bathroom: its rather some kind of small laboratory, with a few people in it. They greet me and while at first I felt like they were cool, I soon started to feel uneasy when I said I wanted to poo(or pee or whatever) and they handed me a toilet somehow. I say I'm just gonna leave for now but they trap me here and some kind of bald guy emerges from nowhere, with sharp teeths and round glasses. His skin was almost like it was entirely burned, no hair whatsoever. He is about to grab me when I wake up. So yeah a very uncanny dream to think about especially considering the themes. It's quite creepy that I dreamed of this at such a young age, I never really knew why and since then it stuck with me. >>5821 Although I've never experienced something like you said I exactly know what kind of feeling you're talking about. Maybe the movie Pi by Aronofsky could interest you but it's still quite different

I had a dream as a child that an old man fell over and was asking for help getting up. I tried to help him up, but he was ridiculously heavy despite being skin and bones. I had others try to help me pull him up, but we still couldn't and the old man died there. Then he came back as a zombie to get revenge, and we beat him with really long poster tubes.

>>5730 Early memory of mine. I remember having a dream with like 3-6 where I went to my grandparents and realizing they get raided by the police and something involving the roof of their house and jumping off it. I remember the dream being in 2 parts like dreaming one in one night and the other in another. A more recent one I can remember is me waiting at an ATM and making people trip on my leg and falling on the ground.

In my childhood, I would have recurring fever nightmares where I would be chased down by a gigantic boulder. I also had recurring fever dreams at the time that were just fuarrrking repeated loops of a cartoony car driving down a mountain. The most notable thing about these was that these dreams had very specific soundtracks, that would make me increasingly anxious and uncomfortable, but not terrifying enough to make me jump. There was also the time when I had sleep paralysis - I just started to focus on a ball that was on the floor for some reason, and then a fuarrrking face appeared on it and screamed (?). I tried to wake up and snap out of it but just couldn't.

Several years ago, I had a vivid dream where I found myself as a tourist in Cologne, Germany. Despite being younger at the time (around 14), I experienced the dream as an older version of myself. During this dream, I encountered a charming, younger girl and we developed a deep connection. We spent a wonderful evening together, purely enjoying each other's company without any intimate encounters. She would be the mother of my children, but I understand that it was merely a figment of my imagination. Now that I am 18 years old, and in the dream, I was approximately 19, I still have a year. Although this dream left a lasting impression on me, I am hesitant to place too much significance on it.
