i wanna lucid dream but idk where to start... can anyone help me with it?
Junichi Fujiwara · 2022-03-13 02:52
Sure. First make a habit of checking whether you are dreaming on a regular basis. Common methods include checking that you have the correct number of fingers, reading text twice and seeing if it changed, and trying to remember and list what happened earlier in the day. Try to foster an attitude of suspicion towards the reality of the world around you. The point of this is to increase the chance of having a moment of realization that you are dreaming, while in a dream. Then, fuarrrk with your sleep. Wake up in the middle of the night and go back to bed an hour later. Let yourself get sleep deprived and take long naps in the middle of the day. Shit like that. This will induce more of the sort of dreams that have the potential to become lucid. Once you find yourself in a lucid dream, remember that if you feel it slipping away, it can help to spin in a circle.

Try go beyong the matter of this paste (in end of post*), if u get LD. Ur able to translate by yoself ..im lazy and also not to provoke off-topic your thread. I was just lookin where to ask simple explanation whats volatile pressure .. actually ive found str8 answer ..but its not enuff in context to me. >A substance with a high vapor pressure at normal temperatures is often referred to as volatile. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vapor_pressure

>>5262 Had to translate by myself coz machine doesnt do smoothly. : (also there one mistype) > NO GALAXIES AND STARS [its hologram] ON THE DOME. THE BALL-LIKE "WORLD" IS OFFICIALLY A THEORY. NO ONE WILL EVER BE ABLE TO SHOW OR PROVE WHAT FORM THIS CATTLE corral- BUT THAT IT IS COVERED WITH DOME- FACT- VOLATILE PRESSURE CAN ONLY BE IN CLOSED CONDITIONS. A VACUUM DOES NOT EXIST IN SPACE OTHERWISE WOULD suck out EVERYTHING TOGETHER WITH THE ATMOSPHERE IN A MOMENT.

Shit like that. This will induce more of the sort of dreams that have the potential to become lucid. This does work, but messing with your sleep can be unhealthy and uncomfortable. If you're like me and value good sleep over anything else, you can try writing down your dreams every morning. This technique has the best effort to reward ratio. In the beginning you might feel like you didn't dream during the night or only remember vague unrelated images, but it will get better over time and you'll be surprised how much you remember every morning. This does not bring results as fast as messing with your sleep though. For maximum results, you can combine all of the techniques of course.

>>5261 this is good advice for lucid dreaming. was able to do it in one night just by counting my fingers in bed every minute until i fell asleep. of course as soon as i did it i just woke up. >>5260 but what really needs to be asked is why would you want that? the best part of dreams are the crazy soykaf that goes down and when you lucid dream you can't go with the flow as well. that isnt to say that realizing you are dreaming is bad. when i have teeth falling out nightmares its helpful to realize i am dreaming only to the extent that i dont want to wake up and end the dream since it can be rather interesting even with the retarded spiting out teeth like im some super regenerative mutant shark-man like >>5286 said, i would suggest to start keeping a dream journal to figure out what why the fuarrrk was kenan thompson the captain of a space pirate ship. but personally the best part of dreams is that it can make up some crazy scenario that i have to live in. you don't even need to keep a physical journal. just keep thinking about your dream the moment you wake up. try to recall the last scene in as much detail as you can and the events that led up to it. at first it wont be much other than some faint ideas and actions but the more you practice you will start to being able see in more detail like recalling colors, face, and words spoken. with enough practice you can start to trace your dream back to figure out not only what was happening but why.

>>5260 make a habit of wearing a watch and constantly checking the time. in a dream most of the time your brain can't process time and this triggers the first stage of lucid dreaming for me often

>>5260 Read Astral Dynamics by Robert Bruce. It can sound like new age nonsense but it's a good book.

>>5260 I first started lucid dreaming after watching video guides as a little kid. I couldn't possibly tell you what I've learnt from them, just basic reality testing skills that I have perfected over many years to the point now where I can intuitively recognize when I am dreaming. Also, I only lucid dream to have sex OP, and apart from sex I cannot see any other useful utility of lucid dreaming. Everybody thinks lucid dreaming is soooo cool and everything, and that you can go anywhere/do anything that you would like, but legitimately it's only purpose is to have sex. In terms of advice I can give: the main indicator that tells me that I'm dreaming is how quickly my environment around me changes. I can be in one environment, and then instantly be transported somewhere completely different once I turn around or look away. Also, when I dream, it feels like my current objective or goal that I'm seeking to accomplish changes very quickly, and that it feels as though there is no beginning or end to my day. >>5295 This fuarrrked me up so badly when I was on psyches.

>>5317 >Also, I only lucid dream to have sex OP, and apart from sex I cannot see any other useful utility of lucid dreaming. For me, the excitement regarding lucid dreaming is research. One experiment is to keep a journal, in the dream. Perhaps, in the event of memory loss, I could revisit the journal I kept in the dreamworld. The advantage of keeping it in a dreamworld rather than in reality? Nobody can touch it. Another experiment was to try and have meetings with real people in the dreamworld. Apparently, this is possible and some people have reported success in this matter. I think it's very cyberpunk to be able to have this hub that only you and a known other can visit. And then there's all that stuff Jung talks about, about a "collective unconscious." Could that not be explored with lucid dreaming? Could one somehow help humanity? Can one be like Klonoa, and be a kind of dream-traveller? And then, there's Richard Wagonner. According to him (and I've tested this myself), one can actually use lucid dreaming to speak with their own unconscious. He says that you can literally talk to "the dream itself" or "the awareness behind the dream" and ask it questions and ask to be shown things, etc. You can ask something harmless like "show me something funny/interesting." You can ask your subconscious to solve programming or literary problems. It's like a supercomputer. For me, personally though, an idea of mine is VR Sim Training. One could have no real combat experience, but with lucid dreaming, have years of experience. I mean, of course, even for real soldiers, training experience isn't real experience on the battlefield, but nonetheless, it is something. Even better, since it is just a dream, one could train for scenarios that would otherwise be too expensive to simulate and difficult to simulate in secrecy. I think it's very cyberpunk to be highly combat trained in total secrecy, able to fend for yourself and advance your agendas in modern society as a basically unknown threat. So yeah, the fact you can lucid dream so easily, and, after getting bored of flying, decided to just use it for sex is really quite depressing. This is basically a frontier of the human experience, and your lack of creativity means the only use you see for this is cooming.

>>5317 It just occurred to me: I never clarified the VR Sim idea. Firstly, the "lucid dream" guy is called Robert Waggonner, not Richard. My bad. Anyway, so, with the "talking to the dream itself" techniques revealed by Robert Waggonner, the VR Sim idea would be to do the following: In a lucid dream, I would say "Dream, present me with a multi-floored building filled with armed thugs on every floor and give me weapons." My subconscious would do as instructed, and the simulation would begin. I said I would do VR Sim Military Training, but I never specified how. There it is. For the curious, here's a lecture that summarises his teachings: https://youtu.be/watch?v=XVRbP9EI7L0

>>5642 Hot damn this Lain gets it! There's honestly a lifetime of captivating research waiting behind lucid dreaming. Understanding the dreamworld, its capabilities and limitations, and how that relates to the world at large. Dreamhacking, servitors, and the wide neural/astral network. A sandbox for physical/psychological augment and psychic experience. Dojo for magick in waking life. A psychic microcosm to make one's own land and kingdom. Ugh I want to get consistent lucid dreams and never go back!
William Holtzer · 2022-08-26 11:51
>>5642 Sorry but it sounds kind of schizoid to think that you can access some Jung's "collective unconscious" through lucid dreaming. It's just you, and your mind, even if it's a dream. You don't get access to some hidden reality in your lucid dreams. Your own unconscious is also with you in your daily awaken life all the time. In your dreams it might manifest itself more, true, but dreams or lucid dreams are not some magic key showing you your "true unconsciousness". When you "talk with your unconsciousness" during lucid-dreaming, what you might be doing is, you're talking with the unconsciousness you imagine you have, i.e. you're still in the power of your conscious mind. You might be just simulating what you (consciously) think talking with your unconsciousness is like. It just doesn't work like that, you can't switch consciousness/unconsciousness like some on/off-switch. I've also been lucid dreaming since I was a kid and nowadays some nights I just have them without trying. I, too, usually have sex. When I was younger I liked to do more that kind of "mind-testing", like testing how my mind works in a dream, but nowadays it's mostly sex. I don't know, maybe I'm more impatient nowadays, or then I got enough of the "testing your mind".

Most of my dreams are lucid because they're obviously not real. When I don't lucid dream it's usually been a "late assignment" type of dream. Recently I've also had two sex dreams which were probably not lucid. Generally my lucid dreams usually involve me watching the dream (as an outside observer) or producing the dream (writing the story, acting the parts). These dreams often take on actual artistic styles, like watercolor, pen and paper animation, cinema. The non-lucid dreams are more realistic so those are the ones where I am an actual in-world character in. Even so, a lot of the time I do eventually become aware that it's a dream. One way is if the story ends up conflicting with reality, like if the late assignment is one that I know I've already completed. Another way is if the story is too boring and I end up having too much time to think. When this happens I usually end up realizing that I can feel my bed, so I'm in a dream. There are also some non-lucid dreams which are unrealistic but are too intense for me to properly think about. Commonly these are dreams where I'm being chased. However, I often become lucid at the end of these dreams too, as the action winds down and I notice the tropes present. For example, my zombie chase dreams usually have a lot of zombie cliches and this tips me off that it's a dream. Interestingly though, the fact that there are zombies usually doesn't, only the fact that these zombies are similar to ones I've seen in media.
