can you actually learn things while sleeping? ive seen some youtube videos claiming to teach you things if you leave the video on while sleeping and idk seems kinda weird to me, but it would be great if it actually worked, has anyone tried this before?

I know that your brain actively processes information when you sleep. Try reading something (like a textbook) before going to bed, and see if it works.

Kind of maybe. From what I've heard: you can train muscle memory in a dream. You also supposedly can reinforce what you learn while awake by repeating it as you sleep. You can not learn anything entirely in sleep.

No, I tried to learn Italian that way once. It's useless.

I've made entire songs in a daw in my lucid dreams before and it has made me far better at it in less than a year, not even practicing much in waking life. so yes. I have no idea how i'm able to do it though

Unironically obtained psychic LOA powers from a lucid dream.

>>5160 Can you elaborate on this? What are these psychic LOA powers?

I've tried this before with a number of subjects. Generally whatever I think about the most for 30 minutes before I go to sleep will find its way into my dreams. So focus hard on whatever skill you're going for in that time period before bed, and as you fall asleep. I've had this method work better with athletics, video games, anything involving problem solving or creative pursuits. I don't seem to get as much results with languages or academics. Perhaps because the parts of the brain that process those shut down sooner. I have had dreams in other languages though when studying really intensely during the day. You might try learning what your sleep phases are, and time content to start playing during REM sleep, this tends to seep into your dreams really effectively. I've had movies or shows that are on during my REM sleep appear in my dreams with the same sounds, but different visuals.

Oops, forgot to include the hours at the bottom of the chart last post.

>>5162 That makes a lot of sense, that creative/more abstract pursuits might work. At least, I can second having dreams in another language after more intense studying, even if talking in them is hard. On that note, does anyone else have problems talking/reading in dreams? Sometimes it comes so naturally, but for the most part I struggle so hard to get a word out I just wake up.

>>5144 I listened to the same playlist while sleeping for a few months and then i noticed if i listened to that playlist awake i would get the song after the one currently playing stuck in my head before the current song finished and moved on to the one stuck in my head. So i had the entire playlist memorized but i couldnt tell you anything about the songs i could only tell you the next song in the list when i heard a song from the playlist, and im presuming thats only because i didnt shuffle the playlist and played it in the same order.
