Different Worlds in Lucid Dreams

Almost all of the dreams I recall having involved being in different locations that don't exist in real life. It may be normal when dreaming, but it's something that I've been focusing on lately. I once had a dream where I found myself in a small town located in the arctic. The residents there all lived in the same house, all because most of them were extremely poor. However, there was a small abandoned shopping center next to the house they were living at. From what I recall, it had a Pizza Hut and a single arcade machine. Another dream I had, was on a car trip with several people in the middle of the desert. I was in the passenger's seat, looking out the window. I saw a lot of peculiar buildings which looked like those commie blocks from Russia. We went to town and stayed at some woman's house for the night. I don't really know why, but it seemed like there weren't any hotels. I wanted to know if these kinds of dreams have a deeper meaning to them, or if they were triggered by real-life experiences. I'm not some neuroscientist or anything like that, but I'm very curious.

Being stuck in a school is a common dream experience that I've heard others experience. Usually means you are stuck on something in life, like you're stumped by a question in the test of life. I for one have at least 3 from what I've experienced. One is a trailer park located in the middle of a swamp where its always night and is illuminated by will o wisps. They're always very deeply relaxing and I wake up refreshed. Another is a kind of pop up house that's literally in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by complete blackness. There are usually people in it and I take the role of a Grudge-like entity that is slowly haunting them. The people are random and this kind of dream is a rare occurrence. The last one is extremely weird and I'm convinced its a place other people can visit or maybe be drawn into. Its a shifting mechanical city with multiple "layers" moving around it. The base "layer" is like a weird 40esque hive city from 40k but with European Royalty symbols all over it. Everything in this layer is totally cartoony and comes off like a messed up Its A Small World Ride. The other layers are made up of giant piles of commercialized crap like skateboards, registers, plastic toys, theme park rides, etc. Last dream I had there I met a couple I was friends with and one of my ex's. The ex I reconciled with and the couple were forced to admit that one of the biggest detrimental factors of my ex and I's failed relationship was them fetishizing us into their little "gnomes". (We were gay beatles yaoi cosplay the couple, it caused a lot wierdness to come out of people). After that, I took a ball point pen from the shifting pile, stabbed it into male of the couple's eyes, which changed his eyes brown. Meanwhile his girlfriend said that "The only reason we're together is because I got the notes" while she was fingering clarinet keys (just the keys, they weren't attacked to any instrument) I'm certain these kind of dreams are triggered by real life experiences and may be places you go when you lucid dream too much.

>>4746 >Being stuck in a school is a common dream experience that I've heard others experience. Usually means you are stuck on something in life, like you're stumped by a question in the test of life. I don't think it's always that. Most of the time, I have dreams of getting stuck in my own elementary school. My experience there was quite terrible since I was placed in special education classes throughout almost the entirety of my childhood. I was poorly behaved due to undiagnosed ADHD and I was an outcast for most of the time since I wasn't taught basic social skills. I remember desperately trying to fit in, though it would seem that most kids I tried to make friends with didn't really see me as a human being. Whenever I have these dreams, I find myself trying to find an exit from the school. Sometimes I wander around in different classrooms. These usually respond to trauma from tardraging a lot in class, which still slightly affects me even as an adult. Most dreams I have about school usually make me revisit the same elementary school I went to. Sometimes, different areas resembling other schools I've attended at. There was one dream I had where I was in a place that merges my elementary school with a different building I've never seen before. I was wandering around, trying to find my classroom, only to find that it's the same room the kindergarteners were attending their classes at. I would suspect that this is a response to being degraded for most of my elementary and middle school years.

>>5963 did you start taking (a lot of ) weed or some other drug at that time ? this has been claimed to effect dreaming adversely... I have a lot of dreams with semi foreign / made up locations/locations I've never been, I don't think too much of it though. also dreams where I discover the like, secret passage in the closet that goes from like my childhood bedroom to some random other dream location half way across the world

Why is smoking in anime so cool but in real life you turn into a gravelly voiced person who looks like their face is melting into their body

I have incredibly vivid dreams all the time, and always with consistent locations. Some are completely fabricated, others are from real life, and some are somewhere inbetween. I've had dreams play out on TF2 maps, and others on the block around my house. They come in different flavors, like the layout will be the same but the textures are different, so I can maneuver through the environment regardless of whether it's a jungle, a desert, or otherwise. I haven't ever NOT had dreams, so I find it fascinating that some people just never dream. I think of my dreams as a super-power of some kind, I get all sorts of insight and ideas and what I'd call premonition (maybe some psychological phenomena, or maybe just phasing through realities). I don't remember every dream I have because the subconscious memory is quick to fade, but I'm always left with feelings. I will say, the downside is I never quite feel rested. When I wake up, my brain feels just as tired as if I had utilizied in while conscious. I love my dreams though, and the worlds I've conjured inside them. I've grown attatched to some of them, and always enjoy recurring worlds.

But more often than not I'm not actually in the school but am in a place related to it, such as a bus stop. Rushing to or from schools, bus stops, train stations, or home and getting lost in the school or on the streets is an often recurring theme.

>>5965 Since when has smoking been cool anywhere? I swear like the policemen that swear to God, struggling to breathe is not cool.
